Summary
Crono is the silent protagonist of Chrono Trigger, first game of the Chrono series. One day, in the 1000 A.C., while going at the festivity of the Millenial Fair, he finds Marle, and becomes a friend with her. While enjoying the party, they found Lucca's teleportation machine, but, because of Marle's strange pendant, she instead gets teleported to a past era, the 600 A.C., completely different from the present one. After saving Marle along with Lucca and figuring out what happened, they discover the existence of the Time Gates, portals which allow the user to travel to the era those gates are linked to. This time the three were at the future, in the 2300 A.C., which was reduced to a total wasteland, later discovering it was from Lavos, an alien parasite which one day will come out from the Earth's insides and destroy everything. Crono and his friends decide that they can't let that happen, so they take on a time travelling adventure in order to save the humanity of the far future.
His preferred weapons are swords, especially katanas, and his personality matches that of the conventional hero archetype and he is willing to place his life on the line for the sake of others.
Powers and Stats
Dimensionality: 3D
Threat Level: Demon- || God+ || At most Mobius+, possibly Omega-
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Magic (Chrono has the power of Light Magic[1], though it can be used even as Lightning Magic[2][3]), Weapon Mastery, Wind Manipulation (Through Wind Slash), Flight (Type 1), Electricity Manipulation (Can use electric attacks through Lightning and Lightning II), Resurrection (Can resurrect allies through Raise), Holy Manipulation and Light Manipulation (Can attack with holy light with Luminaire), Acausality (Type 1. Remembered Marle despite she was erased from a time paradox, causing her to never exist[4]. Should be the same as Robo and other members of the cast, as they are all his companions in time travelling), Afterimages (Can appear as attacking from 4 directions at once from using Confuse/Frenzy), Fourth Wall Awareness (Along with Lucca and Marle was aware of the game having a plot and an ending[5]), Non-Physical Interaction (Can attack Shadows and Specters, who can't be harmed from physical attacks[6]. Should be the same as Serge), Unconventional Darkness Manipulation (From combining attacks of two different attribues with an ally, the combined attack will result under the Shadow attribute[7]), Resistance to Light Manipulation/Electricity Manipulation/Holy Manipulation (Naturally resistant to attacks under the Light attribute like Marle is with Water), Extreme Heat (Can move in a volcano without any issue) and Pain Manipulation (The playable cast has shown to be able to fully fight even at 1 HP)
Same as before, including Resistance to Black Hole Creation (Should be comparable to Serge and other characters of Chrono Cross who can survive being attacked from black holes due to reaching a similar level as him) and Space-Time Manipulation (Unaffected from moving in the Dimensional Vortex, where space and time are distorted) and likely Resistance to most of Lavos' offensive powers (As Lavos became aware of his defeat from the hands of the Chrono Trigger playable party in the future, he needed a back-up plan as he likely realized that there's no way to defeat them despite the immensely larger amount of abilities, choosing instead to create a branching timeline where his plans were not interrupted from changing history in order to indirectly save himself rather than directly facing them)
Same as before, but also including Self-Sustenance (Type 1), Type 2 Nonexistence Interaction (Able to fight the Dream Devourer[8]), Resistance to Void Manipulation, Time Manipulation (Can fight against the Dream Devourer in the Darkness Beyond Time, which is a dimensional void beyond dreams and time, where everything is reduced to nothing), Mind Manipulation, Dream Manipulation and Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1. Can survive the destruction of thoughts, memories and dreams as an attack[8], with dreams being what makes the whole of existence)
BFR, Portal Creation, Dimensional Travel, Resurrection, Black Hole Creation and Time Travel (From destroying the Time Egg, Serge and Kid have created a vortex which sent them to Zurvan, the Sea of Dreams, then returned[9]. The Time Egg/Chrono Trigger was used from the Chrono Cross counterpart of Serge to travel beyond space and time, to the Darkness Beyond Time, the void beyond Timelines and Dreams. The Chrono Trigger can be used to resurrect beings which were killed from even Lavos, using a doll replica of them which will take their place in the moment the person was supposed to be killed[10]. Is stated that it uses miniature black holes in order to travel across time and dimensions), Cosmic Awareness (Serge could see all the timelines, the beginning and end of time, and dreams themselves in Zurvan after entering in it[9]), Void Manipulation (The Time Egg can also swallow the entire world in darkness itself, destroying everything[11])
Healing (Through items he can make both himself and his allies recover both HPs and MPs, the latter being the stamina required to use magic attacks), Statistics Amplification (The Shield Sphere increases physical defense of one third when used), Resurrection (On allies with the Athenian Water, automatically on who's equipped with it with Green Dream), Damage Boost (Zanmato increases of x1.5 the damage dealt to magical beings and Suzaku increases x4 the damage of critical hits. Sunglasses and Prism Spectacles increase any damage dealt from the user of x1.25 and x1.5 respectively), Damage Reduction and Absorption (Some of the armor can halve damage or even absorb Light, Fire, Water and Shadow elements), Information Analysis (With Sight Scope is possible to check the enemy's HPs), Limited Creation (Can create coins at victory with Workman's Wallet), Space-Time Manipulation (The Gate Key allows the user to fix space-time anomalies to open gates, which lead to their own era in the timeline. The Epoch allows to freerly time travel across the eras), Possibly Durability Negation ([Within reason] Nu Arcana can instantly lower the opponent's HP to 1), Resistance to Status Effect Inducement (Nova Armor and some of the headgear grants Status Immunity, which protects the user from the Negative and Neutral Status Effects, which include Poison, Blindness, Sleep, Stop, Slow, Lock, Sap, Chaos and Berserk)
Physical Strength: Multi Block Level Striking Strength with Class 5 Lifting Strength (Should be stronger than an Early Game Serge) || Large Planet Level Striking Strength with Class 5 Lifting Strength || At most High Multiverse+ Level, possibly Hyper Dimensional Level Striking Strength with Class 100 Lifting Strength (Immensely above the likes of Ayla)
Attack Potency: Multi Block (Yakra, one of the first bosses of the game, could generate earthquakes strong enough to shake everything[12], with Crono defeating him with his friends and becoming much stronger since then. Able to also defeat giant robots[6] and a T-Rex[13]. Comparable to Marle and Magus who can create huge blocks of ice with Ice II), higher with Optional Items (Sunglasses and Prism Spectacles increase any damage dealt from the user of x1.25 and x1.5 respectively. Zanmato increases of x1.5 the damage dealt to magical beings and Suzaku increases x4 the damage of critical hits) || Large Planet (Comparable to Lucca, who's far above the likes of Peppor, who can use BlackHole, an attack this powerful, given that Lynx, his boss, had to personally kill her. Able to defeat Lavos with the help of two companions[14]), far higher with the Epoch (One-shotted Lavos' outer shell from crashing the Epoch on it, though it was destroyed too from this) || At most High Multiverse+, possibly Hyper Dimensional (After accepting the challenge of the Steel Shade and absorbing it, awakening his true potential in the Dimensional Vortex, was able to hold his own against the Dream Devourer, though he was still defeated at the end[8])
Durability: Multi Block || Large Planet || At most High Multiverse+, possibly Hyper Dimensional (Despite being weaker, was still able to take Lavos' dream erasure[8])
Speed: Massively Hypersonic+ normally (Comparable to his companions, who were able to tag the Epoch while flying, with the it being able to cross the Earth's circumference in seconds[15]. Able to attack using natural lightning), Sub-Relativistic while wearing Haste Helm (It doubles the speed of the wearer) || Massively Hypersonic+ normally, Sub-Relativistic while wearing Haste Helm || Massively Hypersonic+ normally, Sub-Relativistic while wearing Haste Helm, possibly Immeasurable (Can fight against the Dream Devourer[8])
Intelligence: Genius (Gained an understanding of the swordmanship despite not having any knowledge on it at the beginning of the game[4], being able to take down the Royal Guard and their best weapon[16]. Crono was also said to be a great swordsman from Frog[12]. Became the king of Guardia after the events of Chrono Trigger[17]. Has also helped the Guardia army to defend the bridge from Magus' troops, despite they were outnumbered[18])
Stamina: Very high (Able to fully fight even at 1 HP, even while poisoned)
Range: Extended Melee normally, up to Hundreds of meters with Magic and Elemental attacks (Lightning uses an actual thunder to attack from the sky), Universal+ with Epoch and Gate Key.
Weakness: None notable
Key: Pre-Dimensional Vortex (Early to Mid Game) || Pre-Dimensional Vortex (End Game) || Post-Dimensional Vortex
